In the event you encounter either of these messages it is because either a font, image or data cannot be found.
To view the logs for the PDF & PNG creation you can go to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\rpweb\scripts\logfiles\
You can also open the map in question with the data file that was submitted in the mapper. Any missing images or fonts should display in the "Errors" tab.
If the error is due to a missing font, you will need to restart the server after the font is installed for the changes to take effect.
