Mapping
PCL command
On the Doc tab of the map commands click the Add (+) and select Use PCL.
Select the Use PCL Checkbox.
Add trays to the PCL configuration. PCL for the trays should include the entire PCL command. For the ESC character use /027.
When the Trays are correctly set for the printer, click the Save button to save the tray configuration.
To load the tray configuration click the Load button.
Add Image command
With the Use PCL command set the Add Image command has a new checkbox.
The Send as PCL macro checkbox will cause the system to generate a macro and send the macro. Use this checkbox only if the image is large and needs to be send multiple times. The creation of the Macro file will occur before the document starts to print. If the image is sent multiple times then a macro will reduce the amount of data being sent to the printer. This results in a faster print.
Note: the Res: is the current printer resolution. This cannot be changed. If this field is red then the saved resolution does not match the current printer resolution. Click the OK button to save.
Background Image command
The Background image definition is similar. Checking the Send as PCL macro will force a macro file to be created and sent.
Output Page Definition
The Output Page Definition is changed to use the Trays defined in the Use PCL command. Everything else is the same.
